And now...my first work from the drabble challenge, a piece written for the dear jonnycarnahan

Summary: After the mirror universe

She found him wandering the promenade at three in the morning, a lost look on his face.

"Nightmares?"

The haunted look in his eyes told her all she needed to know. She didn't bother to ask what they were about - ore processing, Garak, Odo... it didn't matter which. He had lost some of his innocence that day, and it frightened her.

She took him by the hand and led him to his quarters, tucked him in to bed. Tried to go, but couldn't leave.

She gave those frightened eyes a reassuring smile and sat beside him, stroked his hand until he drifted to sleep.

It was all she had wanted when those were her nightmares, long ago.

I love it! Just perfect and comforty and Julian hurting and ... and ... thank you SO much! I could see Kira doing this for him but she'd never admit it to anyone ... swear Julian to secrecy. Bless her.
